Wal-Mart presents
Fayette Senior Services with a $1,000 Check

Wal-Mart (Fayetteville) Community Involvement Coordinator, Theresa Thaxton, presents Fayette Senior Services Executive Director, Debbie Britt, with a check for $1,000.  The money will be used to alleviate some of the financial challenges that Fayette Senior Services, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, faces as a result of state and local government budget cuts and the current economic crisis. The Wal-Mart Foundation and Meals On Wheels Association of America earlier this year also awarded a $9,845 grant to Fayette Senior Services’ Meals On Wheels program.  Britt states, “We want to express our sincere appreciation to Wal-Mart for their community partnership and overall support in helping us continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Fayette County seniors.”
