- NUTRITION / MEALS
Fayette Senior Services contracts with Open Hand Atlanta to provide meals for our Meals On Wheels program. Open Hand has been providing pre-packaged meals for our program since 2000. The menu is on a 5-week rotation which provides a variety of meals. Each frozen meal, which can be heated in the microwave or oven, includes a meat entrée, two vegetable sides, a dinner roll, dessert, and milk. These appetizing meals provide one-third of total daily nutritional needs. Special meals are available for kidney failure/dialysis patients (Renal Meal), those who have trouble chewing (Mechanical Soft Meal), as well as a vegetarian meal. All meals are suitable for diabetics and those who need low sodium diets. Sample menu.
