FSS Coronavirus Update

Fayette Senior Services is open! We are approaching our reopening in phases, following CDC and other official’s guidelines during this ongoing pandemic while still meeting the needs and desires of our members. As we strive to keep our members, volunteers, staff, and community safe, we ask that you help us by following our policies and procedures set in place if you feel comfortable and well enough to visit our facilities:

  • Face masks will be required by anyone entering an FSS facility and must be worn while in the facility. FSS has masks available for purchase, if needed – $1 for a disposable mask or $5 for a cloth reusable mask.
  • Temperature checks will be required upon arrival. Please visit the front desk to have yours taken.
  • Practice social distancing and remain 6 feet apart when at all possible (10 feet while exercising).
  • Each room has a specific maximum capacity number based on guidelines posted outside of it. Please abide by these capacities and do not enter a room if it is at the posted capacity.
  • Wash your hands regularly.
  • Stay home if you display any signs of Covid-19 (fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, etc.)
  • While in the fitness center, please skip every other machine between individuals.
  • Face masks can be removed in café only while seated at a table and eating.
  • A volunteer or staff member will prepare and serve drinks in café.
  • Our cleaning crew will be in every night to clean the building and have it ready for the next day.
  • Staying within room capacity limits, card playing, board games, and table games will be available.

If any of these apply to you, we ask you stay home during this ongoing pandemic:

  • You may have been exposed to Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
  • You have breathing, lung or asthma issues, suffer from severe heart disease, are immunocompromised or have underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, liver disease or are undergoing dialysis.
